Trust Land Auction Sale

The next statewide trust land sale is Friday, September 25, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., in the auditorium of the State Office Building behind the State Capitol in Salt Lake City. The auction is conducted by the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration. The public is invited to the sale either to participate or to observe. More than 20 parcels will be offered at this auction. Four of those are 40-acre parcels located on the north slope of the Uinta Mountains in Summit County. These are excellent forested, recreational/residential pieces, with utilities nearby. Another 40-acre recreational/residential parcel is located in Garfield County on Johnson Bench near Bryce Canyon. Other offerings in this auction: 155 acres in Spanish Fork Canyon at the mouth of Covered Bridge Canyon 40 acres near Deer Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County Two acres of residential property in Highland, Utah County Two 40-acre parcels near the Dewey Bridge on the Colorado River, Grand County Two large tracts of mountain property in Morgan County For more information of the properties being offered for sale and the auction process, call the Trust Lands Administration in Salt Lake City at 538-5100, or check the Internet at www.trustlands.com The revenue generated by land sales is put into the permanent funds of Utah schools and other beneficiaries. The permanent funds are not spent, but are invested by the State Treasurer to provide perpetual payments to the beneficiaries. The School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration is an independent state agency which manages 3.7 million acres of Utah trust lands exclusively for the benefit of Utah's schools and other public institutions.
